ASU Community Band

Registration Fee: $50

Registration and Payment Deadline: September 8th

Rehearsal Location: ASU Band Room, 1101 University Drive N, Montgomery, AL 36106.

Rehearsal Times: 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM

Rehearsal Dates: Sept. 14 & 28, Oct. 12 & 26, Nov. 9 & 23

Concert: Nov. 30, 7:00 PM, Location TBD

Instruments: Woodwind and Brass participants must provide their own instrument. ASU percussion equipment will be provided and must be properly cared for.

Music: Participants will receive a music folder and copies of their music.

The Alabama State University Community Band is a new ensemble open to high school, college, and adult musicians who want to continue making music in a welcoming and engaging setting. Conducted by Alabama State University faculty and music majors, the band provides an opportunity for performers of all backgrounds to rehearse, grow, and share music together. Whether you are a current student, a former band member, a local educator, or a community musician looking to play again, the ASU Community Band offers a place to connect through music while supporting the university’s mission of service, education, and artistic excellence.
